Every team in the NHL just got a jersey upgrade on Monday, as the league and Fanatics unveiled "Hometown Remix," a league-wide special edition uniform, apparel and headwear program which "uniquely and authentically celebrates the fans, fabric and local culture of each NHL team and the cities the call home."
The NHL and Fanatics, which took over as the official on-ice uniform and authentic outfitter for the league ahead of the 2024-25 season, have worked together for the past two years developing each Hometown Remix connection.
"Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater," NHL senior executive vice president and chief partnership and club strategy officer, Brian Jennings, said in a press release. "Hometown Remix builds on that legacy in a fresh and authentic way, celebrating the fans, culture and communities that make each NHL market unique.

"Together with Fanatics and our clubs, we’ve created designs that are rooted in local identity and tell a story about the cities and fans they represent. We’re incredibly excited to bring the program to life and see that passion reflected both on the ice and in the stands."
On the ice, the Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks will debut their new threads on Monday night, while each club will wear their respective Hometown Remix uniforms several times throughout the remainder of the season.

Designed from scratch, the NHL and Fanatics aimed to get details like local landmarks, motifs and culture more involved when creating the jerseys for each team.
For example, the Blackhawks have a vivid green base with the current logo and gold shoulder patches. Each sleeve features four debossed six-pointed stars – a nod to Chicago’s city flag.
Then, the Panthers’ jersey takes cues from your favorite graphic beach tee, with a front crest showcasing a remixed version of the throwback Panthers’ shoulder patch logo.
From the Winnipeg Jets’ full aurora borealis scene on the hem to the Boston Bruins having a brown jersey for the first time in more than 100 years, the league made sure to be grounding each look into something recognizable by each rabid fan base.
"Hometown Remix represents the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice wit the NHL in 2024," Dom Fillion, vice president of creative design for Fanatics, said in a press release. "What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible. We can’t wait to see them worn by the teams on the ice and the fans in the stands all season long."

This marks the first-ever league-wide program following this partnership, but Fanatics had previously designed special edition uniforms for several of the league’s marquee events , including the 4 Nations Face-Off, NHL Winter Classic, NHL Stadium Series, NHL Heritage Classic and the upcoming 2027 All-Star festivities. They also worked with several teams on their anniversary and centennial jerseys.
