An Indiana substitute teacher accused of sending nude images of herself to a 14-year-old middle school student was sentenced to two years in jail.
A judge handed down the sentence to Cassidy Carter after she pleaded guilty to one count of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and one count of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, WXIX-TV reported. She was given two days of credit.
She was originally charged with one count of child solicitation. However, Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens indicated that the change happened after the victim moved out of the area and wanted no part in the case.

Carter, who was 21 at the time, sent the images to the teen while she was employed as a substitute teacher at South Dearborn Community School Corporation.
The unidentified student told a school resource officer in December 2023, who informed the principal about what happened, court records state.
The teen said he became friends with Carter via Snapchat.
During their conversations online, Carter sent the teen nude photos of herself every time she took a shower, often late at night, authorities said. She also allegedly told him that she was in love with him.
Investigators found the photos on Carter's phone, along with several messages, prosecutors said.
