Taylor Swift skipped the 2026 Emmy Awards, but made sure to leave her mark on television's biggest night.

Swift, 36, still surprised the audience with a special appearance alongside her longtime friend and Emmys host, Mariska Hargitay, in a prerecorded "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" spoof.

As the 78th Emmy Awards were underway in Los Angeles, the "Lover" singer was spotted chatting it up with Tom Cruise at Arrowhead Stadium while supporting her husband, Travis Kelce, at the Kansas City Chiefs game.

During the awards show, Hargitay joked about Swift and her fans during a skit featuring the cast of "SVU," where her character, Olivia Benson, wondered if Swift would show up to the Emmys.

"Now, in order to crack a Swiftie case, you got to think like a Swiftie, because the Swifties think that everything is a clue to what she’ll do next," Hargitay said while navigating an evidence board.

As the team attempted to tie information together, a voice chimed in, "Hey guys, this isn't adding up."

Swift appeared from the back of the room wearing a blazer and matching slacks. "Our perp has a clear M.O.," she said. "A lot of this doesn’t fit the pattern, and I don’t think everything is a clue."

As the investigation played out, Hargitay determined, "Taylor Swift will not be at the Emmys."

Swift chimed in, "Maybe she’s going to do one of those cool pre-taped sketch things to support the host."

The camera panned toward the pair where the "Reputation" singer was shown holding her Scottish Fold cat named Olivia Benson, an homage to her favorite "SVU" character.

While the feline may have brought them together, the pair have since enjoyed a flourishing friendship. Hargitay was featured in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video in 2015, and that same year, made an appearance at her tour stop in Philadelphia.

They were most recently spotted courtside wearing matching shirts to watch the New York Knicks during the NBA Finals.

"I was wearing a black T-shirt, and Taylor, being the prepared woman that she is, was like, ‘I got you,’ and basically handed it to me," the actress told Jimmy Kimmel recently. "I put it on, and that was the end of it."

Hargitay admitted she was "still floating from that wedding" after attending the couple's Madison Square Garden nuptials in July.

"It was so spectacular and so intimate," she said. "When there's a wedding with that many guests, you think, 'Oh, OK, it’s going to be that,' and it just wasn't."

She added, "And I even say that the vows were my favorite part of the whole wedding. It was that magical."

While Swift's spot aired from the West Coast, she sat comfortably with Cruise in the Midwest for Kelce's season opener against the Denver Broncos.

The "Mission Impossible" star previously supported Swift during the second night of her Eras Tour stop at Wembley Stadium in London, where Cruise was spotted trading friendship bracelets with fans – a fan-favorite tradition.

Their appearance at Arrowhead Stadium Monday also marked Swift's first Chiefs game as a married woman.

Swift and Kelce married on July 3 in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden, a representative for the pop star told Fox News Digital. The pair opted out of a traditional wedding party, and instead choose Swift's brother as her "Man of Honor" and Kelce's brother as his "Best Man."

Swift's representative revealed to Fox News Digital that the couple's wedding ceremony looks were designed by Jonathan Anderson of Christian Dior Haute Couture. The happy couple both wore white, and the "Life of a Showgirl" singer accessorized with Cartier.

Fox News Digital's Lauryn Overhultz contributed to this report.
